13 Years, Lucky for Us

Congratulations to Sam Woods, she is celebrating 13 years with Cindercone today.

Lucky for some they say but definitely lucky for us, Sam is an integral part of our support team and we have recently received a message from one of our customers wanting to pass on their comments about how valuable Sam was in supporting their recent installation.

Well done Sam.

Cindercone Sponsor Local Football Club

Cindercone Sponsor Local Football Club

Following in the footsteps of Sheikh Mansour and Roman Abramovich we are now the proud sponsors of a football team – North East Leeds U17 Pumas. The Pumas play in the Garforth Junior League Division 3 and are currently sitting mid-table.

Head Coach, Guy Meynell said “ we are very grateful to our team sponsors, Cindercone and Think Tribal, the kit looks brilliant and will be a defining factor in the teams development”

“Grassroots sport is very important in many ways including the health and well-being of our young people” said Cindercone CEO, Martin Hepworth “following the pandemic, many sports clubs have suffered, so this is why we decided to help a local club”.

Leeds University Virtual Careers Fair

Today, we took part in the Leeds University Virtual Careers Fair. Taking place throughout October for different areas, this was for STEM inc. engineering, computing and math’s for jobs in engineering, tech and data. In a series of short sessions, Kathleen and Martin spoke to a number of potential candidates looking for more information on a career in IT.

The sessions are designed for each party to get to know a bit about each other and then, if successful, go on to arrange a more in-depth interviews.

This was the company’s first experience of this type of event but it is something we will definitely look at again in the future.

Ironman Cloudsdale – Barcelona or Bust

Ironman Cloudsdale – Barcelona or Bust

Cindercone Technical Consultant, Martin Cloudsdale returned from his Ironman Triathlon in Barcelona in a jubilant mood following his success in completing the incredible task.

Martin faced 2 meter waves in the swimming and shocking headwinds in the cycling, down to some unseasonal weather in the normally warm Spanish city.

The tournament followed weeks of training in the build up including swimming in the North Sea and daily runs.

Running in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support, Martin has already raised nearly £700 and its not too late to add to that total, you can still sponsor him here.

Well done Martin, your team mates are proud of your great achievement.
