New Integration for International Food Company

 

We have recently completed an integration project for an international food company, as always using our Magma Integration Toolkit alongside our professional services.

The brief was to build upon a simple integration for Reed Boardall (RB), who act as 3PL (3rd Party Logistics) provider for our client.

The diagrams below show in simple terms how Magma is used to automate the flows of data between the SAP Business One ERP system and its Produmex based WMS (Warehouse Management System) and Reed Boardall.

The client, being in the food industry, requires full batch traceability, and some of the larger customers require SSCC (Serial Shipping Container Code) for ease of booking in goods to their DCs (Distribution Centres). Working together with RB, we were able to achieve this.

Magma has been used by this client since 2007 when we implemented some initial EDI interfaces for their customers, plus a simple EB integration.

Projects have followed in most years since then as the business has grown and evolved, demonstrating the long and successful partnerships that Cindercone build with our clients, and the ability of Magma to flex.

Cindercone moved at the weekend, to our new home a Crossgates House in Leeds. The new office space provides a much better working environment for our team and plenty of space to grow over the next few years.

We have 2 new purpose built meeting rooms, complete with new AV equipment.

Come and visit us, the kettle/coffee machine is always on.

A Manchester based, board game company, recently chose us to integrate between their ERP and e-commerce solutions.

Following their successful website migration to Shopify Plus, Cindercone was approached by a leading Sage reseller to build the integration between Sage 200 Professional and Shopify using Magma.

Working alongside Shopify Plus experts Herd Agency Ltd, Cindercone implemented its Magma integration suite to handle payments and orders in and stock and despatches out to ensure the company’s accounts are always up to date without the need for any manual involvement, previously this would have taken time to update manually.

This project involved integrating multiple Shopify sites to Sage and included multi-currency and Shopify Marketplaces. Dealing with both their B2C and B2B sales.

It was 5°C, windy and sunny in Barnsley on 25 February 1972, Chicory Tip were at number one in the hit parade with Son of my Father, the miners strike had just finished after crippling the British economy and John McSeveney made way for Johnny Steele to return as Barnsley FC manager as they dropped to Division 4,

But, amidst all this doom and gloom, a miracle was happening. A little spark burst into the atmosphere, a spark that was to be an essential part of the Cindercone eruption some 30 years later.
